Principal's Welcome
Fall 2010

Dear Parents and Guardians:
We want to once again welcome you to the 2010 – 2011 academic school year which is now well underway. There continue to be new and existing opportunities for parents and guardians to be involved at our school. Parents and guardians are the most valued partners we have when it comes to ensuring student success. Here are some examples of how parents can get involved at Morse High School:

• Attend our PIE Series (Parents Involved in Education). Learn information regarding a variety of topics by attending this monthly series of meetings. See the calendar of events included in this issue of the newsletter.

• Help staff one of our concessions stands during our many athletic events.

• Help supervise students before school, during lunch and after school. Additional adult presence is always welcome, particularly during lunch time when all of our students are out and about. On Fridays you can attend our weekly PEP Rally and enjoy our students’ many talents.

• Join the PTSA and attend the organization’s informative parent meetings.

These are a few ways that you, our most valued partners can join us and be a part of your students’ education. This year, in an effort to bring more parents on campus, we will be distributing progress reports in person to parents.

As always, we look forward to seeing you and working closely with you to ensure the academic success of ALL of our students.

With respect and commitment,
Harry Shelton
Principal
